It’s easy to disable: This option slows down the phone a lot

Even the latest Android phones can become slower and start to “brake” over time. The reason for this is usually data overload and limited storage space.

The usual solution is to restore the device to factory settings, but there is also a simpler way that does not require erasing everything from the phone.

One of the most effective tricks is to turn off animations in the settings of the Android operating system.

In this way, the resources of the device are freed up, which leads to faster operation and better responsiveness of the phone, especially in older models with weaker processors and a smaller amount of memory.

How to turn off animations

To activate this option, you need to turn on “Developer Options”. This is done by finding “About the phone” in the settings and pressing the item “Build Number” seven times in a row.

After that, new options for developers will appear in the settings menu.

In them, look for the “Animations” section and adjust three items – “Window animation scale”, “Animation transition scale” and “Animation duration scale”.

Set them all to “No Animation” or reduce them to 0.5X. The difference will be noticed immediately, because the phone will no longer waste resources on visual effects when opening applications and switching from screen to screen.

This change mostly benefits cheaper and older phones, while in stronger and newer models the effect will not be so pronounced, but it can bring additional speed and better system response.
